JENNY GRAY
Veering heavily towards the abstract, Jenny Gray’s paintings meld stylistic with freeform to create evocative, colorful canvases. Playing with shapes, graphic design techniques, and color theory, these works serve as a modernization of Gray’s interpretation of our flawed human condition.
Utilizing paint as her primary medium, Gray’s bold strokes are powerful; they are free. The practice of relinquishing herself to the piece’s narrative is what drives the artist. What drives viewers to appreciate these pieces is their attempt to uncover how much of each visual story they imagine they can decipher and ultimately create for themselves.
